On December 9th and 10th 2021 took place the Lisbon Forum 2021<\/strong> on the \u201cIntercultural Dialogue in the Infodemic Era\u201d<\/em> with the participation of many decision makers, issue-experts, activists, organisations and institutions from around the world.<\/p>\n

In the past 10 years, the evolution of digital technologies<\/strong>, together with the exponential increase of online content<\/strong> and data personalisation<\/strong>, have changed the dynamics and infuence of the internet<\/strong>. ICTs have become an important factor in the production and reproduction of social inequality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The internet<\/strong> is in every single aspect of our life<\/strong>, from healthcare to social relations. More connection doen\u2019t mean a solution to the problems of social divisions and inequality (source: Lisbon Forum Report<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The slogan was „Break your bubble<\/em>“ that\u00a0aims at drawing attention to the concept of \u201cinfodemic\u201d and the whole critique of algorithmic-based personalisation of the internet based on \u2018eco chambers\u2019 and \u2018filter bubbles\u2019. The \u2018bubble\u2019 refers here also to the worldviews, cultures and social classes living\u00a0together without entering in dialogue. The 4 main key messages were:<\/p>\n
