The Digital Opportunities Foundation (Stiftung Digitale Chancen, SDC) is a non-profit, operational foundation with headquarters in Berlin.

Since its founding in 2002, it has been researching the social consequences of digitisation, advocating for equal access to the internet for all people and strengthening their media literacy. Its goal is to promote the digital inclusion of all social groups and to counteract the threat of a digital divide. To this end, SDC implements numerous projects at national and international level and addresses various target groups (multipliers in children’s and youth work as well as adult education, socially disadvantaged children and youth, senior citizens, etc.).

The Digital Opportunities Foundation is under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.
